When you are trying to get your shot in a room full (or a desert full) of tourists, lift your camera until you no longer have the tourists in your viewfinder. Voila! A dramatic shot that seems as if it were taken a hundred years ago.
Egyptian Pyramids
By using a soft focus black and white treatment of an old slide, this shot of camel riders looking for tourists takes on a retro look as well. I like the way the second rider’s galibaya ( long shirt/gown) drapes over his saddle.
