I often go out early in the morning when I am traveling. I just wander. Sometimes I get lucky and meet people like this young Rabari girl. She was searching for something useful in the ubiquitous trash that covered nearly every surface. I, myself, could not see anything useful but apparently she did. She has a sack draped over her head and has stuffed it with her gleanings. And she has an apron-like thing tied around her body, that, too, is half full. I did wonder what she had picked up, but she seemed shy. I didn’t try to get her to show me. I just got a few shots and said goodbye. Her beauty and those fascinating Rabari tattoos make a good portrait.
