Turkistan 2016
The goal was to get the owl with his wings outspread and most crucial of all, his eyes in focus. It isn’t easy. I began my continuous shutter release as the handler threw his owl into space…it reminded me of a football player throwing a long pass. I tried to keep the owl in my viewfinder but he was fast!
This photo isn’t my technical best but it’s my prettiest.
So crisp! What lens, shutter speed? How would you rate Kazakhstan?
Hi, Elizabeth. I’m a novice at shooting birds in flight, so don’t go by me! The shutter speed was 1/1600 and the lens was my zoom 28-300 Nikon.
Thanks for checking my blog!
