The Face of Burma
We were visiting a monastery in Bagan when this man came up to us and spoke to us in perfect English. He’d received his schooling during the time when the English influence was still strong.
When Win saw our photographs, he cried out, “He is the face of Burma!” And so this photo is special to me. I can only imagine what hardships this man has endured, yet he radiates a zest for life.
