Abaya Covered Persian Women

A small mullah wearing a cream-colored cape rushed through the Hamadiya souk, pushing the crowds out of his way. A large group of women wearing billowing black abayas followed him. They were less aggressive than the mullah when encountering the shopping Syrians. Here an older woman ducks her head while another turns aside when they meet the tall Syrian man in the leather suit. The young Persian girl is not so shy. Although she might appear to be demure, she makes sure not to hide her pretty face.
