Lancaster Pennsylvania sometime in the 90’s. We passed a cornfield where a team of six draft horses pulled a harrow across a the land. They were driven by a boy wearing a straw hat and overalls. The boy didn’t want his photo taken so he stopped the horses and stood aside for a moment to give me time to get the shot. Kindness. You don’t forget it.
