Rituals of Prayer

Three Tibetans spin prayer wheels before entering the Monastery
Prayers in Triplicate

Quinghai Provence, China 2007

Three pilgrims spin prayer wheels as they make their way to the monastery.  The man in front is Caucasian and didn’t want his photo taken. The Tibetans didn’t mind.

They wear their gown with one sleeve empty, a habit passed down from the ages.  Perhaps it began as a way to keep your dagger arm unencumbered. Tibetans once were warriors.
