VANITY

Pushkar Camel Fair, Rajasthan, India 2003

A young man checks his moustache before getting a shave at an outdoor barber shop. Pushkar Fair is similar to a County Fair here in America. Not only are animals, horses as well as camels, sold but there is a midway of ferris wheels, food stalls and an arena for acrobats and camel races. The arena is called the ‘melee’, a word we use in English to mean confusion or turmoil.
