Hamar Woman

A handsome Hamar woman shot at a bull-jumping ceremony. The women danced and celebrated the coming of age of their kinsman. I caught this woman in a moment of contemplation.
I discovered something when I worked on this photo. The shadow around her eye was a bit too dark and the contrast of the highlights and shadows on her skin a bit too strong. I softened all of it by using the Nik Color Efex Pro fog filter. It evened the light, brightening the shadows while softening the highlights and giving a smooth, even tone to the entire photo.
