This looks retro because it is! I shot this with my Kodak Retina IIIc. How I got such a good exposure is beyond me. LUCK. It happens.
I was a military nurse and my friend and I had hopped a flight to the west coast. It was early September. We were stationed in Texas and we left hundred degree weather. In San Francisco it was in the 50’s. I remember standing behind these policemen, shivering in my cotton dress. It was then I decided never to live in San Francisco.
