Burma 2011: Near Bagan
We took a break from out shooting. It was lunch time at the monastery and our young models had worked up an appetite. I can’t tell you what they were eating, but the starch was rice. Burmese food is similar to Chinese food, but not as varied. I did enjoy the quail eggs that were in many soups and noodle dishes. My favorite was the traditional dish of noodles called Mohinga. It is the breakfast staple. Sadly, I discovered it only on the last day of our trip, but I can still remember how good it tasted.
