Addis Ababa, Ethiopia 2013
Rain fell softly. The market streets were covered with a mud slurry…those that weren’t solid mud. Men and women carried on with their work: buying, selling and transporting goods.
These men are healthy and strong. Being a porter is the beginning. Maybe someday they will run the crew.
This man has bought some donkeys. He no longer carries a load on his back. Soon, God willing, he will have more donkeys and can carry more goods. It’s capitalism and the Ethiopians like it.
