Jaiselmer, India 2006
This lovely Marwari stallion was tethered to the wall of the palace courtyard. He is a beautiful animal with traces of the Arabian Horse and perhaps the Akhal Teke as well. His ears are the trademark of the Marwari horse. They curve toward each other at the tips and it is considered the height of good conformation if they touch. You can see that this horse’s ears do touch.
His slender head, large eyes, straight legs and well developed haunches also tell us about his careful breeding. His feet do need to be trimmed, though.
