Rome 2015
We walked to the Vatican from our B&B. The woman who ran the B&B said it was only ten minutes away. Evidently she had never been to the Vatican, because we kept up a brisk pace for twenty minutes and still no sign of it.
The street paralleled the Tiber. Lovely arched bridges floated over sluggishly flowing, murky, green water. Plane trees sheltered us from the sun. I doggedly followed my daughter trying not to think about my painful hamstrings. I’d stop to photograph to give myself a break. Here’s one of those shots. I like the detail brought out by the high contrast black and white. I was careful not to lose my reflections. Those are vital.
