Holy Day in Addis Ababa

Ancient man reads his prayerbook outside Holy Trinity Cathedral in Addis Ababa

The Believer

Addis Ababa, Ethiopia 2013

An old man who looks as if he could remember the coronation of Haile Selassie reads his prayerbook as he sits outside Holy Trinity Cathedral. I’m not positive, but judging his head covering, he is a priest. After I shot this, I noticed several women conversing with him…maybe asking advice or for prayers.

I recommend Osman at www.sorators.com for day tours of Addis Ababa or longer tours throughout Ethiopia

Torie, You’re home! Thanks for the comment on my priest…can you believe he doesn’t need glasses? A miracle.
