You should only show one photo of the same subject. You must be able to choose your best photo even if you love them all. When you return from your trip, don’t show all your photos, just your best. Your friends will thank you for it.
But I’ve broken that rule! I think it’s ok here because none of these birds look alike. My flamingo was molting and looked rather pale and shabby. I couldn’t resist that ‘come hither’ look of his/her beautifully curved neck. I used all my ‘tricks’ to make the feathers as flamingo-y as I could.
I spent at least two mornings shooting pelicans in Ethiopia and I’ve shown you several. I’ve got lots more, however. I played around in Photoshop and went overboard on colors, some are simply the natural colors of the beaks and feathers saturated to deep hues. The colors on the “prince of a pelican” are muted with a yellow filter. It’s fun to experiment.
I absolutely love your colorful pelicans! Perfect titles, too. However, your pastel flamingo ranks at the top of my world for a beautiful, almost shyly modest bird. I’d like to wear the entirety on a glitzed up shirt from Chico’s…
