One tip I can tell you about shooting portraits: have your subject stand a bit away from the background. This is a tip I learned while on the trip to Ethiopia. It does blur out the background and give a sense of depth. Try it.

      Hi, Torie.
      Not only was she beautiful but she was graceful in her movements. She could have had a career in modeling if she’d been born in the West. There was something special in her smile, a sweetness and a gentleness. I think she is a happy young woman.

      Yes. She is truly beautiful. But it wasn’t just her perfect face and teeth, it was her gracious demeanor.
