Kazakhstan 2015
We were turned loose to shoot the colorful but barren landscape of Altyn Emel Park in the late afternoon. Our leader pointed out subject possibilities. Thank God for that! My mind was blank. The others hurried along carrying their tripods like so many insects. They had already spotted a vantage point. In desperation, I decided that this rock looked a bit like the heads at Nemrut Dagh in eastern Turkey. They do look like monsters…don’t they??
