A Silverback Gorilla ponders.
The gorilla had moved into the shade. The camera’s meter which is set to render everything as middle gray increased the exposure time. ( I was using shutter priority.) This resulted in a slightly overexposed photo. Slightly over-exposed is better than underexposed even though miracles can be wrought with Adobe Camera Raw. Details are easy to obtain with a slightly over-exposed file.
Lowering the value of the gorilla had only a small effect on the rest of the photo. I liked the faded look and decided that this photo was “done”.
