Storks Nesting

I shot every stork I could, photographically speaking, that is. They nested everywhere, chimneys, light poles, roof tops. I was always below and far away. My lens, although it had a reach of 400mm wasn’t enough for a close up shot like this. So, I used Alien Skin’s Blow Up 3 to enlarge this.

And as if enlarging weren’t enough, I decided to make a black and white using Nik Silver Efex Pro 2. I could have made many, many variations. Some shots are like that and others, well, you’re lucky if you get one good one.
Do you need the plug-ins? In most cases, you don’t. But they make your work easy and fun. And the Nik filters come with Photoshop CC. Why not use them?
