Handsome young men in military uniform chatted on the steps of the Duomo. There had been a wedding. Luckily for the young women of Ortygia, this man had not been the groom. This man would still be handsome if he were wearing ragged jeans, but he wouldn’t have the commanding presence he has here.
I think this uniform is worn by members of a Catholic fraternity…I was incorrect about the uniform…see Susanna’s comment below.
