Bagan at Dawn

Dawn's blue hour over Bagan Burma

Bagan at Dawn

Bagan, Burma 2011

My eye kept going to this temple because it was the brightest spot in the landscape. Although it is dead center, the other temples balance it and I find this viewpoint satisfactory. Maybe it is because the temples formĀ  a diagonal line. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

As I’ve mentioned in past blogs, when you go on a photo tour, you come home with hundreds of similar shots. This morning we perched on the ledge of another temple/pagoda. We got there first and took the best viewpoint. But soon others arrived and we couldn’t move if we wanted to. To add variety to our shots, we used our zoom lenses, and took advantage of our 180 degrees of visibility.

Once I got home, I tried to add more variety using Photoshop. When I succeed, I’m happy.
