A foal lies in deep bedding, his mother only inches away. I went to the ranch yesterday and they had put him and his mother in a pasture. He began to gallop at full speed, his long, slender legs flying, always returning to the safety of his mother’s side even if only for a second or two. Then he was off again. Oops! I didn’t bring my camera.
